Florida Green Building Coalition Named Media Sponsor for 2021 Virtual RESNET Building Performance Conference

ORLANDO, Fla – The Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC), the state’s leading certifier of green residential and commercial construction and local governments, has been named a media sponsor for the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) Virtual Building Performance Conference, Feb. 22-24, 2021.

“For the past four years FGBC has been a staunch supporter and promoter of the annual RESNET Building Performance Conference.  As we all navigate a “new normal,” they continue to innovate and find ways to adapt to an ever-evolving environment to provide education, networking and a robust experience built on the traditional conference with added benefits,” said FGBC Executive Director C.J. Davila.

2021 marks RESNET’s 20th Annual Building Performance Conference. The conference will offer a mix of live-stream events and an array of pre-recorded technical sessions addressing subjects of critical importance. Raters can earn 18 Professional Development credits by participating.

Sponsorship opportunities include a virtual exhibit hall, social media posts, pre-conference marketing exposure, live-stream sponsorship commercials, and more.

“Moving the RESNET 2021 Conference to a virtual event was a decision that took a lot of time, consideration, and research by RESNET’s staff and board of directors. I will miss getting to meet the membership on a more personal level, possibly over a beer, but the health and safety of our network is our highest priority. We are proud to present the 2021 conference theme: “A New Path to the Future,” said RESNET Board President Matt Gingrich of Energy Diagnostics in a statement.

RESNET was founded in 1995 as an independent, non-profit organization to help homeowners reduce the cost of their utility bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Based on the RESNET mission, goals, and foresight for where the building performance industry is headed, we cater our annual conference to bring the most valuable information to members and customers.

Two decades ago, FGBC brought together industry professionals from the construction, government, academic and research communities to create green standards tailored specifically to Florida. Beyond third party certifications, FGBC is also a resource for the builders, developers, contractors, architects, and municipalities when considering going green.

“Florida Green” standards take a scientific approach and are developed with state-specific criteria.  They address Florida’s hot-humid environment, climate, distinctive topography, unique geology, resiliency, and natural disasters.

FGBC just passed the 24,300 mark in “Florida Green” certifications of single-family homes, commercial buildings, high-rises, land developments and local governments.
