Ready, Set, Go! Rebuilding Together Greater Florida Announces Opening of Jacksonville Office and Addition of Key Staff

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (September 8, 2026) – Rebuilding Together Greater Florida (RTGFL) today announced the long overdue opening of their Jacksonville office and the addition of key local staff members.

Housing preservation and resiliency for low-income homeowners is the 25-year-old non-profit organization’s core focus, with decades spent repairing homes and improving health and safety conditions so residents can remain in place. Stable housing supports neighborhood continuity and reduces displacement pressures triggered by the affordable housing crisis.

“This signals our expanded ability and local investment to serve the community. Prosperity starts with place. We are answering the call in Jacksonville,” said Rebuilding Together Greater Florida CEO Jose Garcia.  "We have a deep and long-lasting commitment to strengthening communities through our mission. We are excited to reinforce our collaboration with local partners and deepen the impact of our ongoing work."

Rebuilding Together Greater Florida’s Jacksonville headquarters is located at 700 E. Union St. in Suite 181. The ideal location will allow RTGFL to serve low-income homeowners with in-house capabilities and services.

In addition, RTGFL has hired Construction Manager Ryan Fettick and Program Manager Kyra Osaghae, who are already working in the Jacksonville community.

This investment will help Rebuilding Together Greater Florida reach more neighbors, strengthen communities and build lasting partnerships that advance our shared mission across Florida.”

The Jacksonville expansion represents another milestone in RTGFL’s continued growth across the state and advances the organization’s mission to repair homes, revitalize communities and rebuild lives.

The expansion was funded in part by $40,000 grant from The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida as part of its Supporting Neighborhoods initiative. 

“Housing is a critical issue, and bringing a high-capacity partner that understands our state and our market is an instant win,” said James Coggin, VP of Programs. “We believe that Rebuilding Together Greater Florida will play a needed role in the community, supporting existing partners to enhance and expand their current work.”
