LAS VEGAS - Ralph Bivins of Realty News Report was named the winner of the Gold Award for
Best Real Estate Column in the 68th Annual Journalism Awards presented by the National Association of Real Estate Editors.
Bivins' winning column - entitled: "Space City's Astrodome: The landmark that embodies the soul of Houston" - analyzed the stadium's symbolism and its historic status.
A panel of expert judges from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University selected all winners. The judges commented that Bivins' Astrodome column "provides history and context and connects with its local audience."
The prestigious NAREE journalism competition draws entries from the leading publications in the U.S. and Europe.
The awards were presented at NAREE's real estate conference in Las Vegas, which drew many journalists and top industry speakers.
