LAS VEGAS -
Sweden’s Bluewater launched a new range of second generation residential water purifiers at 2016 Kitchen and Bathrooms Show in Las Vegas that address consumer concerns about tap water quality and safety.

“Bluewater’s latest point-of-use Spirit and Pro water purifiers harness unique, patented new-generation SuperiorOsmosis™ reverse osmosis technology, which is designed to remove practically all waterborne contaminants, including microorganisms and toxic metals such as the lead plaguing the residents of Flint, Michigan,” said Mr. Niclas Wullt, Bluewater managing director.

Designed to fit under a kitchen sink, the compact, contemporary Bluewater Spirit and Pro water purifiers address consumer concerns about contaminants in drinking water, including lead, chlorine, pesticides and herbicides, prescription drugs and detergents.

Clare Controls Introduces Smart Home Display for Design Centers

To help builders take control of the home technology sales process and create more predictable outcomes, Clare Controls created a home technology kiosk for builders that prompts the design center staff through the lifestyle benefits of smart home technology.

The Smart Home Display Center is an interactive demo kiosk that provides an all-in-one sales tool for smart home technology upgrades by focusing on benefit sets instead of individual products. The kiosk eliminates the large investment previously required for smart home product installation, maintenance, and sales training in show homes.

The builder kiosk is on display at the Clare Controls booth during the NAHB International Builders’ Show this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“Builders understand the importance of smart home technology in new developments, but often find it quickly becomes a complicated undertaking,” said Brett Price, Clare Controls CEO. “Complexity doesn’t scale, so we worked side-by-side with builders to develop an all-in-one solution that demonstrates value without complicating the existing showroom sales process. Our Smart Home Display Center demonstrates the benefits and capabilities of standardized packages, rather than explaining technology. More importantly, it’s so easy that sales person can conduct the entire demo in less than 10 minutes.”

The Smart Home Display Center comes delivered as a complete single unit. Simply connect to a power outlet and the Internet. Short videos walk the homeowner through the features and benefits of each package while the installed equipment lights up, locks, unlocks, and plays music to display the actions occurring in the video. Training your sales staff on how to demonstrate the kiosk can be done in as little as 15 minutes.

Soft Close Sliding Door Hardware Adds to Any Room

Add a touch of luxury to your home with Johnson’s innovative soft close sliding door hardware. Created due to popular customer demand, the soft close hardware works like a cabinet door closer with pocket, sliding and wall-mounted doors.

This enables doors to open effortlessly, and close quietly and securely. There are countless benefits, especially for homes with children or older adults.

Soft close sliding door hardware prevents door slamming and significantly reduces noise, which makes it perfect for bedrooms with light sleepers and infants.

The smooth, soft closing action helps prevent pinched fingers between the door and the jamb, as well as providing privacy.  As an added bonus, it also reduces wear and tear on your door and jamb.

Soft close sliding door hardware is easy to install and will take a handyman less than an hour. It is for use in new or retrofitted installations with  Johnson Hardware pocket door, sliding and wall mount door systems.

Use one set for soft action opening or closing in a single door, two sets on a single door for soft close action opening and closing. For two converging pocket or wall mount doors, or two bypass sliding doors, use four sets for soft action opening or closing. Each set includes a soft close dampener, two door hanger plates, an actuator and a ball-bearing door hanger.
