LandSouth Construction Named to Florida Fast 100 by State’s Business Journals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.  --- For the second consecutive year LandSouth Construction, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based general contractor specializing in multifamily, senior housing and mixed use developments, has been recognized as one of Florida’s Fastest Growing 100 Private Companies by the state’s Business Journals.

LandSouth was one of six Jacksonville companies that made the prestigious list. The recognition as one of the Fast 100 comes on the heels of recently being named one of Jacksonville’s 50 Fastest Growing Private Companies by the Jacksonville Business Journal.

As one of Jacksonville’s Fastest Growing Private Companies, LandSouth Construction was No. 14 with 65.97 percent growth rate and was No. 5 by dollar volume list for top revenue increase. LandSouth was also named one of “2015 Best Places to Work” by the Jacksonville Business Journal.

“We are honored to again be listed among some of the most promising and successful companies in Jacksonville and across the state of Florida. By focusing on client satisfaction through expertise, quality and value, we have been able to establish long-term relationships with developers and owners by offering innovative solutions and services that meet their requirements and expectations.”,” said LandSouth President/CEO James Pyle.

The annual award rankings are viewed as a benchmark for success within the aggressive Florida business environment. This latest honor caps another busy year for LandSouth.

LandSouth Construction is currently working on projects throughout the Southeast including apartments and mixed use developments in Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Oviedo, Sanford, Jacksonville, Davenport and Orlando Fla., Mt. Pleasant, S.C, Collegedale, Tenn. and senior housing in Bonita Springs, Fla. In its 16-year history, LandSouth Construction has completed more than 12,000 multifamily units, including apartments, senior living, condominiums, and townhomes.

“It’s a testament to the relationships and hard work that our team puts forth every day in the field and in the office,” said Joe Passkiewicz, LandSouth’s Senior Vice President of Development. “We recognize our success is closely aligned with our partners and reflects the incredible commitment of our employees as well as the great confidence that our clients have shown in us.”

Business Journal researchers surveyed more than 800 businesses in Florida to determine which companies would make this year's list, which is based on the percentage of revenue growth between 2012 and 2014. Because the list highlights fast growth, it is one of the most dynamic and respected lists published by the Business Journal each year.

To make the list, companies must have recorded revenue of at least $1 million and demonstrated revenue growth through 2014. In addition, these firms must have been privately held during the reporting period. They have to be headquartered in the state and cannot be subsidiaries of other companies. The chief executive officer or chief financial officer of each company must submit in writing — and personally vouch for — revenues.

The journal has not yet revealed how LandSouth has ranked on the Florida Fast 100 List. The winning companies in Northeast Florida will be featured in the Sept. 18 print edition of the Jacksonville Business Journal.
