Berthiaume has 28 years of experience as a custom
builder, remodeler and woodworking craftsman.
“I’m currently leading of most of the Generation Homes
remodels including a whole house remodel and some small master bath renovation.
I’m also helping other project managers complete various projects,” Berthiaume
said.
In addition to completing several custom homes, kitchen
and bath renovations, and entire home remodels he has worked on many large scale
hotel projects and multifamily renovations.
“Since I was a young I’ve known that I would be in the
building industry. In High school trade classes I was lucky enough to build a
full house, to college, where I was lucky enough to design and build full
houses,” he said.
With a passion for woodworking and construction, Berthiaume
received a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technologies and Building from
Keene (UNH) State College in Keene, N.H.
He went to work with an adjunct professor at a nationally
known timber frame company. While working for the company in New Hampshire he
built numerous custom furniture pieces for clients all over the nation.
While in New England he also worked in Maine, Vermont,
Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York City. Berthiaume was a
builder, woodworker, designer and project manager with the timber company until
coming to Florida about ten years ago.
Here he worked for the a commercial general contractor
that traveled extensively all over Florida remodeling hotels, apartments, homes,
kitchens and baths. Projects included large scale hotel renovations in Palm
Beach and South Beach as well as hundreds of small renovations throughout
Northeast Florida.
