Rita Williams’ Merchandising Plus Big Award Winner at SEBC

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  Rita Williams’ firm, Merchandising Plus, teamed up with their outstanding builders to win three prestigious AURORA Awards and Florida EXCEL Award during the 2014 Southeast Building Conference in Orlando.

Merchandising Plus was included in an elite group of housing industry professionals from our 12 state region that received the esteemed AURORA Awards for new home construction and design excellence throughout the USA during an industry gala.

The nationally recognized AURORA Awards honor builders, designers, architects and other home building industry professionals from Texas to Virginia with projects and homes as far as California, Arizona, Chicago and Minnesota.

The AURORA Winners:

ICI Homes Siena Model Show home at Tamaya in Jacksonville, Fla., was honored for interior merchandising ($300,000 - $500,000)
DR Horton’s Magnolia Model Showhome at Forest Hammock in Orange Park was honored for interior merchandising ($200,001 - $300,000).
Emerald Homes’ Grand Cayman Model at Istoria in St. Augustine was honored for best kitchen design ($500,001 - $1,000,000).

Williams was thrilled for her team and credits the success to the hard work of superintendents, architects, marketing and sales specialists, suppliers and her multi-tasked creative design staff.

“We are honored to be a part of this great home building industry and help build the American Dream,” Williams said. “We work with builders who care so much about the homes they build and it makes us proud to be the finishing touch of what they build.”

Williams and her team returned to the podium during the EXCEL Awards to accept for the DR Horton Magnolia model at Forest Hammock in Clay County. The judges loved the market driven design and salute to the Navy market.

EXCELS signify outstanding interior merchandising and marketing throughout Florida and are conducted by the Florida Home Builders Association Sales and Marketing Council.

Williams is a veteran interior merchandiser who has worked throughout the United States completed award winning projects in Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Minnesota, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, California and Hawaii.

Williams was inducted into the Florida Housing Hall of Fame in 2003. A Life Director member of the Northeast Florida Builders Association Board of Directors and the Florida Homebuilders Association she has won numerous local, state, regional and national awards for her work and dedication to the building industry.
